Peace Valley Family Session

The Banks family holds a special place in my heart. I had the honor of photographing their pregnancy announcements for their first child, then their newborn photos, and finally a family session for Krew’s first birthday. We chose a park local to them and local to where I grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Peace Valley Park features one of my favorite fields that just glows in the golden hour light – especially in the fall!

This location near Peace Valley Park’s Nature Center is quiet and open with a great view down towards the lake, and one of my year-round favorite location options. In the winter, this field is an interesting and open space with lots of direct light. Springtime brings fresh greens as the fields grow back. Summertime is full of lush green, diving sparrows, and tall grass blowing in the breeze. Fall, though, glows golden. The leaves have turned and the grass is still tall, but dry, and the golden light is simply unbeatable.

Thank you to Alex, Thor, and Krew for trusting me with these memories! Since writing this blog post, I’ve been fortunate to photograph the Banks family two more times – for another pregnancy announcement, and another newborn session. I can’t wait to share more of their beautiful in-home photos! It has been such an honor to celebrate such enormous milestones with your family.
